Structural engineering for the adaptive reuse of the historic, 26,000SF, three-story Massey Building originally built in 1910. The building has functioned as a hotel and is now being converted to office space and a new restaurant. The scope included renovation and restoration of the three main levels, the mezzanine, and partial basement levels. We also returned the roof to its original function as a balcony.

Vertical sign reading "MASSEY" hangs from a brick building; metal bistro tables and chairs occupy a second-floor balcony overlooking a street lined with autumn trees under a blue sky.
White curved rooftop parapet being stripped by construction workers, exposing brick and wooden framing on a flat roof with scattered planks and tools beneath a partly cloudy sky.
Two tufted orange leather armchairs sit beside a low wooden coffee table, arranged in a modern office lounge with frosted glass-walled conference room, exposed ductwork, and hardwood flooring.
Narrow office corridor with polished wooden floor; sunlight streams through three recessed windows, leading to a glass-walled workspace with filing cabinet; exposed ceiling ducts and a wall-mounted security camera.
Bicycles parked and stored: one hung vertically on a wall rack, two standing by a glass stairwell; wall features a detailed town map mural. Text visible: "BENTONVILLE".
Colorful mandala-style mural adorns a wall; four orange leather armchairs face a low wooden coffee table with books, set in a glass-walled, modern office lounge under a circular ceiling light.
Mosaic tile border frames an inset of white hexagonal and dark square tiles, meeting wood-plank flooring at a corner; geometric green, brown, black and white patterns create a decorative threshold.
