Martin/Martin provided program management, design, and construction administration for the three primary Vestas campuses. As the prime consultant, we also managed the architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering. Over a 10-year period, Martin/Martin served as an extension of the Vestas Facilities Management team to complete task orders for the master planning and build-out of the three sites.
The effort included a dedicated program management representative from Martin/Martin co-located within the Vestas office to identify projects, solicit proposals, execute and track contracts, monitor design quality control, and provide ongoing and on-site construction management.
Projects included additions, new building planning, coordination across rail lines, high-level evaluation of potential rail realignments, and storage area improvements and additions capable of maintaining a sea of large-scale wind turbine equipment in three production factories.
