Valley Springs High School

Structural engineering for a $4.6M, two-story, 28,000 SF high school. The structure features structural steel with load bearing concrete masonry unit walls with slab-on-grade floor supported by spread footings. The building includes spaces for classrooms, a library, science labs, and a computer lab. Additional design components included structural ties to support the incorporation of gabion walls as part of the project’s unique cladding elements. Martin/Martin coordinated design with the architect, the City of Valley Springs and Boone County.
