Los Angeles International Airport Bradley West Terminal

This expansion is composed of approximately 1.25M SF of new building area including concessions, premium lounge space, enlarged customs facilities, and other passenger amenities. The new concourses contain 15 new boarding gates with enlarged passenger seating and hold room areas sized to accommodate new-generation aircraft such as the Airbus A380 super-jumbo jet and the Boeing B787 Dreamliner.
Martin/Martin provided early design charrettes on roof framing, structural design on all steel supporting the curtain wall, digital media support framing, and structural engineering on envelope support framing with the architect and other consultants. At 85 feet high, the curtain wall is one of the tallest expanses of glass without intermediate framing.
