Martin/Martin provided roadway and traffic engineering services for 3,200 feet of new roadway that provides southern access into Denver International Airport. The horizontal alignment of the two-lane roadway is set to meet future roadway connections, to accommodate a future runway and taxiway, and to accommodate future widening to four lanes. This project created a new intersection at E. 71st Avenue and connections to the Porteos Development in Aurora. Roadside ditches provide storm runoff and permanent water quality control. The project included coordination with multiple public jurisdictions including, DEN, City and County of Denver, Adams County, City of Aurora, and Federal Aviation Administration.
