This project included civil engineering services and construction observation and coordination for 300 acres of land near C-470 and I-70. Work included 2 regional detention ponds, widening Smith Road to 4 lanes, 3 other major roadway designs, First Creek channel and a large box culvert, overlot grading, and utility infrastructure. The project was designed in phases but built all at once. The challenging site spanned across multiple jurisdictions: Martin/Martin was tasked with coordinating between the City of Aurora, Urban Drainage, 3 separate oil and gas companies, and Union Pacific Rail Road.
