Services
The School of Engineering and Computer Science and the Knoebel Center for the Study of Aging provide research laboratories, instructional spaces, classrooms, community areas, faculty and administrative offices, and food service. The building consolidates programs that were dispersed throughout five different buildings into one collaborative location. The 130,000 SF facility is constructed of load-bearing clay masonry walls and columns, and cast-in-place concrete floors, and features a hemispherical dome with an innovative structural steel framing system. We also provided tower crane foundation design for construction and fall protection design for the completed building.
