Sectors

The new addition and renovation of the airport provide space for a modern baggage screening system, a state of the art ticketing hall, and an expanded, renovated airside concourse. The focal point of the project is the new ticketing hall, which uses the expressive warmth of long-span heavy timber beams and king post trusses to greet its visitors. The building is subject to a height limitation which, in combination with the aesthetic desire for the space to be light and airy, required a structural system with minimal visual weight.
