Intermountain Healthcare Saint Joseph Hospital Heritage Project

This project includes an 830,000 SF, 365-bed hospital, two parking garages, central utility plant, and chapel. The project also involved partial demolition of, additions to, and remodeling of multiple existing campus buildings as part of an overall campus restructuring. Site services included realignment of adjacent streets, design of new streets, utilities supporting the main hospital building & central utility plant, and parking.

The project set construction speed records for healthcare projects of its size. To achieve these results, the design team worked closely with the contractor to develop modular designs and prefabrication strategies for elements such as corridor mechanical racks, bathroom pods, and exterior wall panels.
