Complete structural engineering services including blast security design and construction administration for a 10-story, 350,000 SF building which houses district and magistrate courts, offices, and below-grade parking. This building was designed for a GSA Protection Level “C” per the GSA Security Criteria. The building was designed for an external or internal blast and designed to prevent progressive collapse. Design included using the GSA Security Criteria, Conwep, and BLASTX. Civil Engineering work included on-site water quality and detention, reconstruction of Champa, Curtis, 19th and 20th Streets, as well as the curb-line adjacent to the site. Site utilities work included coordination of relocation of public water mains.
