Solaris Vail

Vail, Colorado

The Solaris development replaced the Crossroads Shopping Center built in the 1970s. The new 7-story building includes 72 condominiums, 60,000 SF of retail and restaurant space, a new half-acre public plaza with winter ice skating and summer interactive fountain, underground parking, three movie theaters, and a bowling alley/arcade/sports bar. The project also features extensive streetscape improvements in all adjoining public streets and $1.1M in public art improvements (engineering of public art also provided by Martin/Martin). Complex utility relocations were coordinated with the city and CDOT and were phased to provide uninterrupted service to all existing tenants and surrounding businesses during construction.
