Structural design for both foundations and framing of a carbon fiber pedestrian entry bridge for a private residence in Berkeley, CA. The structural moment frame supports gravity and lateral loads at the bridge’s midspan. The length of the bridge is approximately 30 ft. This project was designed to be modular, yet transportable and installable within the tight constraints of the site and without disturbing the water below.
