Auraria Higher Education Center | Denver, Colorado

The building, sited prominently along Speer Boulevard, provides new and modernized space to advance AHEC's science education efforts for three distinct institutions: University of Colorado Denver, Metropolitan State College of Denver, and Community College of Denver. The 4-story, 182,000 SF addition features new teaching and research labs, support space, classrooms and research lab offices. The 118,000 SF renovation of the existing building houses offices, teaching labs, computer labs and general classrooms.
Martin/Martin also provided structural considerations for the Butterfly sculpture in the lobby of the addition.
