Corporate: Facility Manager

Lakewood, Colorado

Responsible for coordinating or performing maintenance, repairs and upgrades to Martin/Martin main office building and grounds. Responsible for monitoring and adjusting of building mechanical systems for proper operation; performing periodic maintenance and minor repair; performing year-round grounds maintenance and coordinating efforts of seasonal employees and contractors. Duties also include supervision of set-up and adjustment of office cubicle systems and managing office equipment such as shelving, filing cabinets and VariDesks and management of company vehicle repair and maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

The following duties are illustrative only and are not intended to be all inclusive.

  • Building Keyless Entry System: Ability to use and monitor the computer/software and the battery backup systems for both the control computer and magnetic locks. Coordinate service if service is required.
  • Building Intrusion Alarm System and Fire Alarm System: Similar to keyless entry system with the inclusion of interaction with the company monitoring the alarms.
  • Building Camera Monitoring System: Also similar to the key card system.
  • HVAC Control Systems: Maintain, monitor, troubleshoot and repair the building HVAC Control, as needed
  • Boiler: When in use, monitor the boiler, its safety devices, and circulation pumps.
  • Chillers and cooling tower (when in use): Ability to understand and monitor Chillers and Cooling Tower, when in use including circulation pumps.
  • ― Perform required inspections and maintenance as required.
  • Air Handlers: Ability to understand and monitor the Air Handler System.
  • ― Perform required inspections and maintenance as required.
  • Plumbing and hot water systems: Ability to understand and monitor the plumbing and hot water systems.
  • ―Perform required inspections and maintenance as needed.
  • Grounds: Keep the outside grounds maintained year-round.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and 3-5 years related work experience
  • Knowledge of safe work practices in an industrial environment.
  • Strong mechanical and industrial knowledge.
  • Strong pump and hydraulic knowledge.
  • Strong computer skills, knowledge of key card and EMS system software a plus.
  • Significant experience and understanding of plumbing and hot water systems
  • Significant experience and understanding of HVAC/Boiler/Chiller systems.
  • Experience and understanding of lighting and electrical systems.
  • Must be a self-starter with good organizational skills and high reliability.
  • Must be self-motivated team player.
  • Must be able to direct the activities of janitorial service, 3rd party contractors and summer temporary help.
  • Must be able to manage annual/bi-annual/quarterly required system inspections
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to organize and handle multiply tasks efficiently.
  • Must be able to work independently and self-supervise.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Certificate(s) from trade schools for training in refrigeration and operation of building heating and cooling systems and controls.


Salary Range: $50,000 – $70,000 Actual compensation may vary from posted hiring range based upon compensable factors, including: experience, education, and skill level.
