16th Street Center Parking Garage

Denver, Colorado

Martin/Martin provided structural engineering services for this mixed-use/parking/retail project on the 16th Street Mall. The garage includes seven levels of parking (560 vehicles) over ground-level retail. A portion of the garage cantilevers over the parking ramp for the adjacent US Bank building using a 7-foot deep precast, post-tensioned transfer girder. The girder was stressed in stages as the load of each level was applied to the building frame during precast erection.
