M/M Elects New Board Members

LAKEWOOD, Colo. – The Martin/Martin Inc. Board of Directors welcomes three new members recently elected during the firm’s spring board meeting.

Principals John Moore, PE; Matt Schlageter, PE; and C. Ben Nelson, PE, join current members CEO and Board Chairman John ‘Trailer’ Martin, SE; Martin/Martin President Gary Thomas, PE; Structural Engineering Department Manager Jack Petersen, PE, SE; and Civil Infrastructure Team Leader Bill Willis, PE.

John Moore, III


Moore is director of the civil engineering department and has been with Martin/Martin for more than 20 years. He is also the manager of the firm’s Edwards, Colo., office, which offers both civil and structural engineering services. Moore’s design experience encompasses land and site development, and public works and roadway projects. He has worked extensively along the Front Range and has managed Western Slope projects, as well.


Matthew Schlageter


Schlageter has a strong background in highly sustainable, civil site design projects including LEED Platinum and Net Zero facilities. He has considerable experience with master planning, federal, higher education, medical, commercial and industrial projects. Schlageter is well versed in infrastructure design and construction administration. His focused, detailed approach has resulted in highly successful, award-winning projects. Schlageter joined Martin/Martin in 1996.


Ben Nelson


Nelson has been with Martin/Martin and its processor firm since 1984. He focuses on structural design of cultural/performing arts centers, higher education facilities, community recreation centers and broadcast telecommunication hubs. He has structural design experience in all regions of the country, including high seismic and high wind areas. Nelson has completed structural assessments and retrofits for a wide variety of projects and challenges, and is known for his cost-effective, creative solutions.
