Wayne Wray Harris, PE, PLS

Principal, Civil Engineering

Wayne is a rare breed. He holds professional licenses as both a professional land surveyor and civil engineer in several states. Wayne has nearly 40 years of experience in the private consulting sector focusing on site development/redevelopment, subdivisions and infrastructure projects.

As an accomplished principal civil engineer, Wayne quickly identifies potential problem areas for civil site design packages that focus on buildings, roads, streets and small subdivisions. Add to this ample experience with contract negotiation, planning and construction documents, design of overlot grading and erosion control plans, watermain loop and relocation design, and sanitary sewer collection system design—among others—and you have a principal who will keep your project progressing in an orderly fashion.

Wayne gives his clients different design scenarios so that they have choices. He is well versed in securing approvals for entitlements because he knows the system, schedules and submittal requirements that gain approval so his clients’ projects can move ahead. He pays close attention to plan details and construction sequencing, as well.

In the early years of Wayne’s career, he surveyed and provided construction administration for sanitary treatment facilities and roadways (now he designs them). He is well versed in land survey activities such as platting and easement preparation.

Wayne has been with Martin/Martin since 1981 (KKBNA 1981 – 1988). On his own time he applies his engineering skills to design and build facilities for sport shooting ranges.
