André Schlappe, PE

Principal, Civil Engineering

As a leader in the civil site design group, André focuses on medical, higher education, industrial, and commercial projects.  He has extensive experience in all phases of the project life cycle, including master planning, due diligence, design, and construction administration. In addition, he has served in the Army Reserve as an engineer officer since 1995.  In this position, André has been involved in the procurement, design and construction of over $250 million dollars’ worth of projects in the United States, Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, Panama and South Korea.

With a strong background in design, heavy civil construction and project management, André views civil engineering as a critical link between owners, local communities and contractors.  He seeks to proactively exceed client expectations while delivering designs that enhance our communities, protect the public safety and are buildable.  This approach has helped to deliver highly successful projects, including the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and Stapleton Business Center North.

André believes that strong relationships are the key to successful projects, and that these relationships are built upon open communication, trust, and integrity.  Whether it’s with a client, jurisdiction, or contractor, he seeks to build strong, lasting relationships that span projects and deadlines.

André joined Martin/Martin in 1998 and is a proud Colorado native.  In his free time, he enjoys spending time in the great outdoors with his family, being active in his church, and is an avid history buff.
